A New Year

Everyone knows that with a new year comes new goals and challenges. Almost everyone wants to lose weight but not everyone does. I know one thing I want to work on is to be closer to my family members. I realized this when Brandon and I moved and ended up in the town I was raised. I see members from every side of my family all the time! I think this is a great opportunity for me to strengthen relationships and get to know my family better and for them to know me! An event in my family's life has also brought this desire into effect. My cousin Joey was sent to ICU and has been there since Tuesday. I had not seen Joey since I was in High School and a week before he was placed in the hospital I ran into him at Taco Bell. That was a great experience for me! He gave me a huge smile and a great big hug! I will never forget that! I love my family members a lot and I know it's hard to see everyone let alone keep in touch with our busy schedules. But I will try harder to make sure my family members and friends know that I am there for them ALWAYS!
